SHI revealed that it institutionalized the internal carbon price after obtaining approval from the ESG Committee held on August 11.

SHI plans to use it as an investment decision-making tool that predicts the increase or decrease in greenhouse gas emissions for investments such as new businesses and production facilities of more than 300 million won, and recognizes them as costs during evaluation.

An official from SHI said, "The unit price of carbon has been set at 40,000 won per ton, and the effect of accelerating investment for Net-Zero in the future is expected by establishing an institutional foundation this time in addition to the vision and management''s will for continuous environmental management performance"
